Fees & Payments

Fees & Payments

Our service fees are fully transparent — hospital treatment costs are always paid by you, directly to the hospital.

We charge a coordination fee. We do not provide medical services; we match you with the right ones. Our fees are entirely separate from hospital fees, and you pay your medical bills directly to the hospital. Whether we bill by time (such as half-day hospital accompaniment) or by deliverable (such as certified medical translation per page), our pricing considers only how much time the work normally takes and how specialized the people involved need to be. When we actually serve you, even if it takes longer or requires more senior professionals, the unit price will not change. Seeking medical care is already stressful enough — you should never feel you are facing a lawyer who charges by the minute. Questions, extra rounds of discussion, time to weigh things over — none of these should make your bill more expensive.

Our fees are quoted in US dollars. We accept USD, CAD, HKD and CNY; non-USD currencies are converted to USD at the Bank of China (Hong Kong) mid-market rate.

Two payment models — you choose

Full coordination · Fixed package

One agreement, one fixed price

  • Full coordination for surgery: US$5,000–8,000.
  • Full coordination for non-surgical treatment: US$2,800–4,500.
  • The ranges above are indicative only; we send you a written quote by email, valid for 30 days.
  • If you accept our quote and sign with us, our total fee for your entire treatment journey is fixed at the quoted amount. If you withdraw midway, please refer to our refund policy.
  • Fees are collected in advance: half at signing and the other half before surgery (for surgical cases), or when treatment is halfway through (for non-surgical cases), per the written quote.
  • New clients typically start with pay-as-you-go. Later, if you find it a better fit, you can lock in a fixed full-coordination package.
Flexible · Pay as you go

No package, pay as you go

  • Each service is priced individually; you pay only for what you actually use
  • No contract needed; pay as you go
  • We suggest a US$1,000 prepayment on account; we deduct as you use, so no transfer each time
  • When the balance runs out, just top up and continue

Pay as you go - flexible, pay only for what you use

Refund Policy

Flexible-pay clients: after deducting costs already incurred, the full account balance is refundable.

Fixed-package clients:

  • If the trip does not happen: should you not make it to China (e.g. visa refusal, a doctor's advice against travel, or simply a change-of-mind), we deduct costs already incurred at the flexible-pay standard and refund the remainder in full.
  • After treatment begins: refunds are reduced progressively by stage, per the written agreement.
  • After treatment is completed: the fee is fixed at the written quote — no refund for overage, no top-up for shortfall.

Refund payments: returned within 3 business days to the same currency and channel you used to pay.

* We believe medical fees should be charged to you directly by doctors and hospitals, not passed through us — there are many compliance and operational reasons for this. However, medical second opinions are usually delivered remotely, and hospital billing processes differ, making direct payment to the hospital cumbersome. We therefore charge a single all-inclusive standard fee covering both the doctor's fee and our service fee — a concession we make to reality.

Payment Methods

Fees are settled in US dollars as the base currency. We also accept Canadian dollars, Hong Kong dollars and Chinese yuan — these are converted to USD at the Bank of China (Hong Kong) mid-market rate, with yuan converted at the offshore renminbi (CNH) rate. We use the mid-market rate for both charges and refunds. We want to earn service fees, not currency spreads.

In-effect Rates

Every business day at 5:00 pm (Beijing time), we take the live telegraphic transfer rates published by Bank of China (Hong Kong), use the midpoint between the “customer buy” and “customer sell” rates (i.e. the average of the two), and lock it in as our in-effect rate of the day. Until the next update, all conversions use this rate; weekends and Hong Kong public holidays carry over the previous business day's rate. The table below shows the conversion rates currently in effect and links to BOCHK's official page for verification. The rates you see on BOCHK's site move with the market in real time and may differ slightly from the figures below — we always use the 5:00 pm price of the previous business day, so you have a fixed conversion standard when you pay.
